On August 8th we officially broke ground on our new house in Sauk Centre!
We are extremely excited. Joel has been dreaming about this for a very long time, and Emily has been rolling her eyes at Joel's dreaming for very long time (But secretly, she's pretty excited also!). Harry is excited about all of the excavators, dump trucks & BIG piles of dirt!!! Betsy & Linus on the other hand haven't been allowed to roam the construction site too much and don't really seem too impressed. Watching Elmo in the car is much more their speed.
The plan is to blog during the construction process to chronicle our experience. We'll see how it goes. Since we're starting the blog 1 month after construction started, there is some catching up to do. We'll try to update the blog along the way with major events, interesting developments, and random insights. In the end, we hope to have a wonderful new home for our family that will last for years to come!
